2022 Winners
The Annual Australian Timber Design Award winners for 2022 were announced Thursday 8th December 2022 at the Crown Hotel in Sydney. H&E Architects received first prize for their outstanding project - Waterfront Tavern.
The Waterfront Tavern is the centrepiece in an artificial harbour within the expansive and master-planned Shell Cover development south of Wollongong. It acts as both a refuge for residents and a destination for visitors. Lavish and broad in their use of timber, the project team demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship and detailing through its undulating forms, exposed interior and exterior surfaces and features.
